Winter II Session at Livonia Rec Center

The Winter II session starts the week of February 23 and end the week of April 13th, running for 8 weeks at the Livonia Rec Center! You can register for the session online or purchase drop in wristbands at the front desk to attend a single class. NEW! Livonia Senior Center Classes – Thursday Afternoons

Gentle Yoga Flow, Thursdays 12-12:50pm – for all skill levels, this class provides a well-rounded yoga experience: some breathwork, strength, balance, and mindfulness, ending with a period of rest and relaxation.

Meditative Yoga, Thursdays 1-1:50pm – a grounded, slow paced yoga practice with long holds in stretches on the mat for deep relaxation.

Spring Session of Soulful Flow / Candlelit Yin at Northville Community Center

The Current session of Soulful Flow and Candlelit Yin on Tuesday nights will end on March 10th. The next session begins on March 24th and runs until May 12th. Sign up online and secure your spot!

    • 9:30-10:30am Slow Flow – fully guided, full yoga practice with standing and seated sequences
    • 11am-12pm Meditative Yoga – deep, focused attention to fascia and connective tissue in long holding poses, yin yoga
  • Tuesdays at Northville Community Center
    • 6-7PM Slow Flow – fully guided, full yoga practice with standing and seated sequences
    • 7:30-8:30 Candlelit Yin – deep, focused attention to fascia and connective tissue in long holding poses, yin yoga
  • Wednesdays at the Livonia Recreation Center
    • 5-5:50pm Slow Flow – fully guided, full yoga practice with standing and seated sequences
    • 7-7:50pm Barre Fitness – dance based fitness class with ballet inspired strength building
    • 8-9pm Relaxation Yoga – themed around relaxing the mind through releasing tension and stress from the body via breath work and light stretches
  • Thursdays at the Livonia Senior Center
    • 12-12:50pm Gentle Slow Flow – a softer, guided full yoga practice with standing and seated sequences, with gentle transitions and less time in standing postures
    • 1-1:50pm Meditative Yoga – deep, focused attention to fascia and connective tissue in long holding poses, yin yoga
  • Fridays at Northville Community Center
    • 8:30-9:30am Yoga FUNdamentals – a simple class with poses generally practiced low to the mat, building awareness and stability throughout body & mind with careful strength building and stretching
  • Saturdays at Northville Community Center
    • 8:30-9:30am Yoga Flow – fully guided, full yoga practice with standing and seated sequences
    • 9:45-10:45am Restorative Yoga – deep, focused attention to fascia and connective tissue in long holding poses, yin yoga
About Me!

My name is Kathleen, or Leena (the yogi), and I am really just so VERY passionate about yoga, the philosophy, the breath, the movement, and the energy… but most of all, I love sharing yoga with others.

I study, practice, and teach a variety of styles of yoga, ranging from fast-paced vinyasa flows to slow and meditative yin yoga. I think there is a style of yoga for everyone, and each yogi should determine what parts of the practice serves them and which do not. I’m here to help guide you to what can serve you best in your personal journey towards wellness in mind and body.
